THE JOY OF SALVATION IN CHRIST.

GRACE LIFE, DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY PASTOR SAM & PASTOR ETANA AYODELE. WEDNESDAY 8TH MAY, 2024.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith (Galatians 5:22).

In order to receive Christ, unbelievers should consider the prayer of salvation below. Jesus  Christ is God Almighty, everlasting Father, eternal life and the Holy Spirit in us (Isaiah 9:6, 1 John 5:20, 2 Corinthians 3:17).

Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice." For the believer, that you're a new creation in Christ, is more than enough reason to rejoice all through your long years on earth (Psalm 92:12-15). Material wealth is awesome; we can spread the gospel with it, bless Ourselves and the needy etc. But our theme verse didn't say rejoice in "worldly goods" but in "Christ". Nothing and no one should tamper with this fruit of the Spirit, in your life.

The believer may affirm these words as you celebrate Christ and his salvation: in the name of Jesus Christ, I rejoice in the Lord Jesus again and again. Thank you Father. Amen. Joy in our theme verse is not from the natural or natural happenings but it's the fruit of the Spirit; it's supernatural. The Holy Spirit is Christ in a man (2 Corinthians 3:17). With this, Jesus alone is our source of joy.

This joy is that of salvation in Christ for Jesus Christ is our salvation. This is the strength of a believer. See the words of Jesus in John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." The system of the world built upon satanic strategy cannot dictate the outcome of the believer's life for Jesus overcame for us.

This is coming from our Father who gloriously planned our great future: he said "cheer up, I have overcome the world." With joy in the Spirit or from him, you draw water(revelations)  out of the well of  salvation (Isaiah 12:3). This is the depth of revelations that comes from the Spirit, from the awesome victory of Christ or from the message of his vicarious death on the cross for our sins, the message of his burial, resurrection and ascension with the benefits. This joy conquers, satisfies.

When a believer lack this, he see no reason to be a Christian or be alive. The words of Jesus are instructive on this: Luke 12:15 "And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth." He's not against worldly goods after all he desire his sons to prosper (2 Corinthians 8:9).

He was against covetousness; why convert when your possession is not part of your life. Then, what's life and living? John 5:11-12, 20: Jesus Christ is the precise definition of a man’s life and living. With this gift-eternal life, rejoice and rejoice again. It's an act of faith, that God is faithful to his word; he will manifest in you and through you, what he'd already accomplished for you, in Christ. Glory to our one and only true God-Jesus Christ, both now and forever. Amen.

With the ability of the Spirit of Christ in us, we will grow in the precise knowledge of Christ from the Scriptures, heal the sick, cast out devils etc..

PRAYER OF SALVATION FOR THE UNSAVED.

For the unsaved, see what 1 John 5:12 says "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." To have life and be among the living, accept God's love and be saved right now, by declaring these words from Romans 10:9-10: Jesus Christ, I believe in my heart that you died to save me from sin and its consequences. I believe God raised you from the dead for my justification. Now, I declare that you’re my Lord and Savior. Thank you Father, I am a new creation in Christ. Amen. With these words, you are now a son of God, righteous, and filled with the fullness of God. To grow in Christ and function in his victory, please search for a Church or a place of worship where they teach the doctrine of Christ alone.

AFFIRMATION FOR HEALTH:

In the name of Jesus Christ, with the stripes of Jesus, I was healed. Health is among the benefits of the finished work of Christ. Health is real in my body till old age. Thank you Father for the gift of healing and that of divine health. Amen.

PRAYER:

In the name of Jesus Christ, I'm so joyful today; I'm a new creation in Christ. I'm a beneficiary of the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Christ. I'm loved by God  unconditionally. I was created in Christ Jesus in good works. But my good work is never the reason for my sufficiency. Christ is my life and my sufficiency. I'm who I'm today and will be what God want me to be in the future, all by his grace or his unspeakable love towards me. Thank you Father for the joy of salvation. Amen.
